Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Margin/Cost Calculator (the “App”), developed by Muhammad Umer, handles information. The App does not require an account and the developer does not collect, sell, rent, or use personal data for advertising or tracking.
Calculations and local storage
Values you enter, calculation results, history, favorites, settings, and saved pricing scenarios are processed and stored on your device. The iPhone/iPad app and its widget extension may share this information through Apple’s App Group container so the features you choose can show consistent results. Saved scenarios are not currently synchronized across devices by the developer.
Location
The App requests location access only if you choose to use the mapped Area or Distance calculators. Your device supplies coordinates while that feature is in use so the App can calculate a local area or distance. The developer does not receive, store remotely, or share those coordinates. You can deny or revoke permission in system Settings and continue using all calculators that do not need a map location.
Apple Intelligence and on-device processing
On compatible devices, the App can ask Apple’s on-device Foundation Models framework to explain an already-computed pricing result. The deterministic calculation does not depend on the model. The App does not send the prompt, calculation, or response to a developer-operated server. Availability and system-level processing are controlled by Apple Intelligence settings and Apple’s applicable privacy terms.
Siri, Shortcuts, Spotlight, widgets, and Apple Watch
If you use these optional Apple system features, the operating system processes the request and may display App content that you selected or created. The App does not operate a server that receives these requests. Apple’s handling of Siri, Spotlight, iCloud, and related system services is governed by Apple’s privacy policy and your device settings.
Photos and selected files
If a compatible future version offers on-device extraction from a pricing image, it will access only the image you explicitly select. Suggested values remain separate until you approve them. The developer does not receive the selected image or extracted values.
Analytics, advertising, and third parties
The App includes no advertising SDK, third-party analytics SDK, developer account service, or developer-hosted cloud database. Apple may provide developers with aggregated App Store or diagnostic information when users have chosen to share it with Apple; that system-level sharing is controlled by Apple and your privacy settings.
Children
The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other users.
Security and retention
Local records remain until you delete them in the App, remove the App, or erase the device, subject to Apple’s operating-system backup behavior. Protect access to your device and avoid entering confidential information that you do not want stored locally.
Support website
This support page is served by Firebase Hosting. Standard web request information may be processed by the hosting provider to deliver and secure the site under Google’s applicable terms. No advertising or analytics script is included on these pages.
Changes
This policy may be updated when the App’s features or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be revised when a new policy is posted.
